Audi OLED Light Technology Shown Off At CES 2013

When it comes to putting on a light show Audi knows a thing or two about LED’s. If you didn’t know, Audi is the pioneering car brand that started putting LED light strips in the headlamps of their cars, the Audi A5 and R8 coupes. This year, Audi OLED light technology is shown off at CES 2013.

The acronym OLED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diode. LED lighting technology is used on vehicles because it makes vehicles easily visible, they are more energy efficient and last longer than regular halogen bulbs. Since they’re smaller, car manufacturers can make cool designs in almost any kind of light fixture.
