Lexus intros the new looks of the 2014 Lexus iS 250, 350 & 300h hybrid. The IS is one of the most beloved Japanese tuner cars of all times. It has a powerful engine, room for five (3 small people in back seat) and its a Lexus. Need I say more?
The IS line up has a new addition to it, the 300h hybrid. Of course we are now comfortable to expect almost every car to be available in a hybrid to compete with the “going green” environmentalists out which is definitely not a bad thing—you’re saving gas when you buy a hybrid vehicle without compromising much power and design.
For 2014 the Lexus has implemented the LED light strip you’re seeing on most cars now independently into the top part of the bumper right underneath the headlight. The LED lights are usually integrated into the headlight itself. The interior and cockpit’s layout is inspired by Lexus’ super car, the LFA.
The engine for the IS 250 is a 2.5 liter V6 gas engine. The IS 350 features a 3.5 liter V6 gas engine. The IS 300h hybrid , which will be available in Europe, Japan and select international markets, will have the Lexus Hybrid Drive powertrain, based on a newly developed 2.5L Atkinson-cycle engine.
Overall, the Lexus IS sedan is hard to belittle when it comes to design, power and available features. Check out the video the gallery below to get a feel of where Lexus is going with this one.
